Asian Beef Noodle Salad

with grilled steak and whole-grain spaghetti

SOUND BITE

Oodles of beef and noodles are paired with colorful veggies and a lip-smacking, Asian dressing. My test-kitchen dummies (also known as my neighbors!) rated this salad a 10/10.

Grilling Steak for Salads

When it comes to grilling, the steaks are high—in price! So, let’s make sure we get this right!!

The key to grilling steak like a pro? Preheat your grill for at least 10 to 15 minutes until it’s blazing hot (think 450–500°F). A hot grill = better sear marks and no stuck steaks.

Lightly oil the grates, place your steaks on the grill, close the lid and leave them alone!

To keep them juicy, flip only once, after roughly 3 to 5 minutes, depending on their thickness.

For perfect medium-rare, the way I like mine, aim for 125–130°F on a meat thermometer.

Finally, let your steaks rest before slicing. Take them off the grill and let them sit for 5 minutes so the juices get locked in.

Then grab a sharp knife and slice against the grain for ultra-tender, salad-ready steak strips.

And that, my friends, is how you raise the steaks on your salad game!
