Fresh & Fabulous Fruit Salad

for holiday brunches or anytime lunches

SOUND BITE

Bursting with color and flavor, this spectacular fruit salad always gets rave reviews! Simply dressed with a combo of honey, lime juice and poppy seeds and tossed with fresh mint, you’ll dazzle your family during the holidays or any day! Sure, it requires a bit of chopping, but it’s quite easy to make, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the“fruits” of your labor. (Psst! It also makes a striking summer BBQ side dish.)

Tropical Fruit Salad Variation

This dazzling fruit salad is truly a showstopper, and the food photo is one of my favorites in the entire book. It’s worthy of any occasion or celebration or Sunday brunch.

Feel like giving it a tropical twist? Swap the apples and grapes for diced fresh pineapple (make sure it’s ripe!) and diced bananas, then sprinkle in some toasted coconut flakes for a little island-inspired crunch.

Not a fan of coconut? Serve it on the side so guests can help themselves. I personally go loco for coconut!

A finishing touch would be a dollop mango-flavored yogurt on individual servings—it’s like a mini Costa Rica vacation in a bowl. Note: Costa Rica is not an island, but it IS the land of fresh and flavorful food, especially fruits.

No matter which version you make, this colourful, crave-worthy fruit salad is like a burst of bliss on a spoon.

So, grab a BIG one and dig in!
